Our Head Chef can conduct cooking lessons for Myanmar cuisine, including soup, salad and curry.

Introduction of our Head Chef.
Tin Yu,
a Bagan native, has been working at Thiripyitsaya for over 10 years. He progressively honed his cooking skills under the practical experiences with previous Head Chefs from Japan, Thailand and Myanmar. His forte is Asian cuisine and we are sure that Guests will enjoy the cooking lessons conducted by him.
Learning the Myanmar language with an instructor, including reading, writing and conversation, is recommended for people who want to learn about Myanmar more deeply.
After choosing the lacquer plate or coaster with a pattern from several flower or traditional Myanmar arabesque designs which craftsmen have engraved, one is taught how to apply color by the scratching method and come up with one’s own unique one-of-a-kind lacquer ware in a special workshop.

For those interested in seeing their future, or simply for fun, a session with a gifted Myanmar fortune teller can be arranged by the Tour Desk.
